51st Volunteers is a 
Western Alliance squadron in Starlancer.

The 51st Volunteers were formed soon after the conflict began. The Diamondbacks have enjoyed some success, but overall their skill level is reflected in their kill ratio, which is a poor 1-3. Relegated to the home defense fleet, they are working hard at improving their squadron's reputation. Individually they are fine pilots, but lack coordination as a unit. Their assignment to Fort Austin is giving them time to regroup, and get in some additional training.
They are eventually routed and destroyed by the late stages of the campaign in outer Sol, with only the 45th Volunteers emerging intact out of the Sol War.
